Durham Business School offers 20 en suite double Executive bedrooms which are available to guests visiting both the University & City of Durham year round. The Business School is located a twenty minute walk from the City Centre, with on site car parking and offers a convenient base from which to explore the City. It is located only a few minutes walk from University attractions such as the Botanical Gardens and the Oriental Museum. The modern bedrooms include a double bed, en suite shower rooms, tea/coffee making facilities and colour television. Breakfast is included in the price of the rooms, and is served between 08.00am and 09.00am in the dining room at the school. The Business School is built around a central quadrangle in which guests can relax. Alternatively the University Botanic Gardens are only a short walk away or guests can take a stroll down the hill and along the banks of the River Wear in the heart of Durham City. Wi-Fi access is available in the bar and library (ask at reception for a login and password).
Whether you are planning a week stay or a short break Collingwood is the ideal base for your group visit to the North East. The accommodation offered by Collingwood is of a high quality with a three diamond English Tourism Council rating. The accommodation is value for money, with rooms available to suit all budgets. Collingwood is located one mile from the centre of Durham. All rooms are situated within the college and offer a peaceful setting. There is a variety of accommodation, with over 200 en-suite rooms available, each with a private shower, toilet and hand basin, built-in wardrobe and tea/coffee making facilities and radio alarm clocks. Sixteen of these en-suite rooms are twin occupancy and a further nine are adapted for wheelchair users. Another 300 comfortable single bedrooms are available, which are fully carpeted, centrally heated with their own wash basin. Showers and toilets are conveniently located on each floor along with kitchenettes with microwaves. For guests requiring easy access, ground floor rooms in both en-suite and standard rooms are available on request. All rooms have bed linen (duvets) and towels provided in all rooms throughout your stay, with the rooms are serviced daily. Accommodation is available during university vacations, which are around Easter and throughout July, August and September. Collingwood College does not accept guests under 16 years of age unless they stay in the same room as a responsible adult. 
Durham Castle offers affordable university style student accommodation, which is suited to the budget traveller, looking for a unique place to stay. This 11th century castle is part of a World Heritage Site and has an excellent central location adjacent to Durham Cathedral. Our rooms are simply furnished, with a limited number having en-suite bathroom facilities. A full English breakfast is included and will be served in one of our prestigious state rooms. In addition to this, at anytime during your stay, you are welcome to join one of our public guided tours on a complimentary basis.
